CFAR in media

Our work 'on' the media has ranged from monitoring programming on issues like health, nutrition, gender issues, obscenity and violence and supplementing it with audience surveys to enable viewers to articulate their views and opinions on the media. Based on this monitoring and research we created Viewer's forums in four cities- Delhi, Lucknow, Ahmedabad and Mau- to enable viewers to articulate their opinions on programmes and their content. We also took this forward by creating advocacy training modules for grass root practitioners to enable them to interact with the media and present their points of view clearly and comprehensively and more importantly on how to retain media interest on issues that are of concern to communities.

From time to time CFAR also finds a place in the media when we organize workshops, support events and rallies or conduct field visits.
